Technology Training Center Renovation

Wonder... inspiring a new generation of inquiry...

This project transforms an existing one-story office building into a training and workplace environment organized around light, gathering, and shared learning.

A complete interior reconstruction establishes a clear spatial framework centered on a primary gathering space—an open, collective core from which classrooms, meeting rooms, and work areas extend. The plan is intentionally legible, allowing movement through the building to feel continuous and intuitive.

Daylight is treated as a defining element. A series of large drum skylights are introduced into the roof, bringing changing natural light deep into the interior and establishing a dynamic relationship to time and occupation. These moments of light anchor the central space and give identity to adjacent work areas.

Training rooms are expressed as distinct volumes within the larger field, each marked through graphic and spatial variation while remaining part of a cohesive whole. The environment supports both focused instruction and informal exchange, accommodating a range of learning and working modes.

Material and formal decisions are kept restrained, allowing light, proportion, and use to define the character of the space. The result is a workplace that emphasizes clarity, adaptability, and collective experience—an environment shaped to support curiosity, learning, and creative engagement.
